lyrics
I feel like
a crooked child
it's been too long
since running wild
my voice like
some weight unseen
some sorry thread running
running down my seam
castellana, this is not my mother tongue
i been running
somewhere far beyond the sun
castellana, like a vision in my room
how you came through
you break into my gloom
castellana, this is not my mother tongue,
i been running now for you
somewhere, far beyond the sun
castellana, i will stay with you until
something better
something better
I feel like
a crooked child
it's been too long
since running wild
my voice like
some weight unseen
some sorry thread running
running down my seam
castellana
this is not where i am from
make me feel like
wonder how i got so numb
castellana, days past longer than they should
i would keep you from it
keep you if i could
castellana this is not my mother tongue
i been runnin runnin
somewhere, far beyond the sun
castellana will you follow me until
something better,
something better
I feel like
a crooked child
it's been too long
since running wild
my voice like
some weight unseen
some sorry thread running
running down my seam
runnin down my seam, runnin down my seam
I feel like
a crooked child
it's been too long
since running wild
my voice like
some weight unseen
some sorry thread running
running down my seam
One of the most infectiously groovy EP's of the entire summer! Vocals are chopped, sang, sampled and everything in between over thick layers of synth bass and minimal drum machines. Atlas Lab
Linus' Blanket has a way of making themselves vulnerable like no other band. They always where their heart on their sleeve and they let the world know when the fuck up. Atlas Lab
This is the first album I found that really spoke to me as a young fem.
From the simplicity, the bass drum, specifically in landfill is so steady and soothing. I love landfill because it perfectly portrays trauma bonds, sexual or romantic relationships rooted in power imbalance. Being led on, unrequited love, constantly being clueless if someone is a real friend, or a lover. Are they yours or are they ruthlessly rogue. Untameable. Love and hate are such similar feelings, and they often mingle. clementinehatepageichangedmymind
Julien Baker is an acquired taste - assuming of course you’ve acquired great taste in singer songwriters… beautiful, devastating, honest, insightful… I’ve not heard a single song of hers that hasn’t left me in absolute awe. crisbroadhurst
